Orońsko

Orońsko is a rural municipality located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Szydłowiec County, and part of the Radom agglomeration. Its history dates back to 1867, when it was established as part of the administrative reform in the Kingdom of Poland. Formerly, the Orońsko municipality was part of the Radom County in the Radom Governorate. The municipality covers an area of 81.91 km², of which approximately 73% is agricultural land and 19% is forested. In 2019, the population was 5,969, showing a slight increase compared to 2004, when it was 5,723. The administrative seat of the municipality is the village of Orońsko, which is also known for its artistic and cultural activities.
