Osiek is a rural municipality located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, within the Starogard County. Between 1975 and 1998, it was part of the Gdańsk Voivodeship. The administrative seat of the municipality is the village of Osiek, and it comprises 12 smaller administrative units (sołectwa), including settlements such as Bukowiny, Karszanek, and Radogoszcz. Covering an area of 155.63 km², the municipality is characterized by its rich natural environment—forests account for 71% of the land, while agricultural land makes up 17%, highlighting both its ecological value and rural character. As of December 31, 2020, the population stood at 2,373 residents, reflecting the area's demographic profile.
In terms of nature conservation, the municipality is home to four nature reserves: Czapli Wierch, Jezioro Udzierz, Krzywe Koło w Pętli Wdy, and Zdrójno. These protected areas help preserve the region's unique ecosystems and biodiversity. Osiek and its surroundings are known for their scenic landscapes, attracting both tourists and nature enthusiasts. The municipality borders other communes such as Lubichowo, Nowe, and Skórcz, fostering local cooperation and cultural exchange. Although the architecture here may not be as widely recognized as in larger cities, it includes local gems that reflect the region's history.
