Ostrzeszów is an urban-rural municipality in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, forming part of Ostrzeszów County. The seat of the municipality is the town of Ostrzeszów, which, following the administrative reform of 1999, became part of the new voivodeship. The municipality spans an area of 187.49 km², of which 53% is agricultural land and 39% is forest land, fostering the development of the local economy and the preservation of natural landscapes. In 2004, the municipality had a population of 23,115, and by 2017, this number had increased to 23,974, indicating stable demographic growth. Ostrzeszów is rich in tradition and culture, evidenced by its numerous village districts (sołectwa), such as Bledzianów, Korpysy, and Szklarka Przygodzicka, as well as smaller settlements without village district status, like Dobra and Omieciny.
