Pęczniew

The municipality of Pęczniew, located in the Łódź Voivodeship, Poddębice County, has its seat in the town of Pęczniew. According to 2004 data, the municipality had a population of 3,733 inhabitants spread over an area of 128.38 km², of which 61% was agricultural land and 11% was forested. The municipality covers 14.57% of the total area of Poddębice County. Within Pęczniew lies the Jeziorsko Nature Reserve, an important sanctuary for water and marsh birds, home to numerous rare and protected bird species. The municipality consists of 20 village districts (sołectwa), such as Borki Drużbińskie, Brodnia, Księże Młyny, and Pęczniew, as well as settlements without village district status, including Dąbrowa Lubolska and Łęg Popowski. In terms of interesting facts, the municipality's appeal lies in its rich natural environment and adjacent water areas, which attract nature lovers and ornithologists.
