Pabianice

The Pabianice Commune, located in the Łódź Voivodeship, is a rural municipality that encompasses 19 village councils (sołectw) and covers an area of 87.69 km². The history of the commune dates back to 1954, when it operated under the name Gmina Górka Pabianicka. The commune has a unique geographical layout, consisting of two separate parts to the north and south of the city of Pabianice, giving it a distinctive character. The area of the commune lies at an altitude of 160–245 meters above sea level. It is situated on the Łask Upland, with its lowest points located in the Ner River basin. Forests cover approximately 18% of the area, including the "Uroczysko Porszewice" and "Uroczysko Rydzyny" forest complexes, which are known for their rich ecosystems, featuring species such as deer, roe deer, and wild boar. Agricultural land also constitutes a significant portion of the commune's area. Demographically, the Pabianice Commune shows a diverse age distribution among its residents, which can be analyzed through its population pyramid. The community has access to several educational institutions, including kindergartens and primary schools, supporting the development of education in the region.
