Pakość is an urban-rural municipality located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, within the Inowrocław County. The seat of the municipality is the town of Pakość. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Bydgoszcz Voivodeship. In 2004, the municipality had a population of 9,968, which decreased to 9,793 by 2019. The municipality covers an area of 86.29 km², predominantly consisting of agricultural land (77%) and forests (20%). Administratively, it constitutes 7.04% of the Inowrocław County. Pakość is rich in architectural monuments, including the manor complex in Giebnia from the late 19th century, the palace complex in Jankowo, and the 12th-century Church of St. Margaret in Kościelec. In Pakość, visitors can also explore the 17th-century Reformed Franciscan monastery complex, the Old Town district dating back to the second half of the 14th century, and a Calvary complex comprising 25 chapels. The town hall from 1908, located at Rynek 4, is another notable attraction. The municipality includes several villages, such as Dziarnowo, Jankowo, and Łącko, as well as the settlement of Leszczyce, which does not have village status. Neighboring municipalities include Barcin, Dąbrowa, Inowrocław, and Janikowo. Pakość stands out not only for its architecture but also for its rich cultural heritage and history, making it an interesting destination to visit.
