Parczew is an urban-rural municipality with its seat in the town of Parczew, located in the Lublin Voivodeship, within Parczew County. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality belonged to the Biała Podlaska Voivodeship. According to statistical data, at the end of 2012, the municipality had a population of 14,860, which decreased to 14,549 by 2017. The municipality covers an area of 146.23 km², of which 63% is agricultural land and 25% is forested. Parczew Municipality constitutes 15.35% of the total area of Parczew County. Within its boundaries lies the Jezioro Obradowskie Nature Reserve, which protects a unique dystrophic lake and numerous rare species of aquatic and peatland plants. The municipality comprises several villages, including Babianka, Jasionka, Królewski Dwór, and Wola Przewłocka. Parczew is surrounded by neighboring municipalities such as Dębowa Kłoda, Jabłoń, and Milanów. Rich not only in natural beauty, the municipality also offers interesting historical and cultural aspects, making it a significant part of the Lublin region.
