Piecki

The municipality of Piecki, located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in the Mrągowo County, is an area with a rich geological structure, dominated by post-glacial terrain, forests, and lakes. The seat of the municipality, the town of Piecki, is known for the Walentyna Dermacka Regional Museum, which houses collections of clay figurines depicting the life of the Polish countryside. Among the historical landmarks are the 17th-century church in Nawiady and the Ernst Wiechert Museum, commemorating the German writer who had roots in the region. The municipality is part of the Masurian Landscape Park, making it a popular tourist destination, attracting nature lovers and those seeking relaxation by the water.
