Since 2015, modern Pendolino trainsets have been introduced, enhancing travel comfort. However, the carrier has faced numerous challenges, including delays in 2010 and a sharp decline in passenger numbers during the COVID-19 pandemic. PKP Intercity has also implemented several innovations in passenger services, such as online ticket purchasing and modern seat reservation systems. To strengthen its offerings, the carrier utilizes European Union funding, investing in new rolling stock and modernizing existing carriages. With growing competition, PKP Intercity strives to adapt its services and embrace modernization to meet rising passenger expectations. The contemporary architecture of its headquarters in Warsaw is part of its modern image, combining functionality with aesthetics.
