wikipedia
Promno Landscape Park, established in 1993 in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, is an important area for the protection of post-glacial landscapes and rich forest ecosystems. With over 87% of its area located in the Pobiedziska municipality, the park is one of the smallest in Poland. Its purpose is to safeguard natural values, including diverse forests and landscape types, which attract nature enthusiasts. The park is home to significant nature reserves, such as Lake Drążynek, Lake Dębiniec, the Deciduous Forest in Promno, and Okrąglak, which protect unique plant and animal species. The diverse fauna includes species such as the black stork, European beaver, and European fire-bellied toad, recognized as important for European ecosystems. The park's flora is characterized by abundant deciduous trees and a rich undergrowth of shrubs. The entire park area is part of the Natura 2000 program, highlighting its importance for biodiversity conservation. The park's waters, which are a source of life for many species, include lakes and water channels. The park offers numerous hiking and cycling trails, as well as routes for Nordic walking, making it a popular recreational destination. However, threats related to hiking and the use of the area by quads and motorcycles can negatively impact the state of natural ecosystems. An interesting fact is the largest cluster of tufted sawgrass in Greater Poland, located in the Lake Drążynek reserve, and the presence of rare peatland plants, such as sundews. The park's accessibility to tourists and its biodiversity make it a unique place that combines natural, recreational, and educational values.
