The Prusice Commune, located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, covers an area of 158.02 km², of which 71% is agricultural land and 19% is forest land. Historically part of the Wrocław Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998, the commune is currently headquartered in the town of Prusice. According to demographic data, the population was 9,195 in 2004 and increased to 9,380 by 2020. The commune consists of 27 village administrative districts (sołectws), including Borów, Brzeźno, and Ligota Strupińska, while Zakrzewo is a locality without such status. It borders towns such as Oborniki Śląskie, Trzebnica, Wińsko, Wołów, and Żmigród, which fosters integration with the surrounding area. Prusice blends architectural, cultural, and historical elements.
