The PTTK Kalatówki Mountain Hotel, situated at an altitude of 1,198 meters above sea level in Zakopane, was built by the Tatra Skiing Society in 1938 with the intention of hosting the FIS World Ski Championships. Located on the picturesque Kalatówki Clearing near the slope of Krokiew, the hotel is accessible only on foot via a cobblestone path known as Brother Albert’s Road. The hotel offers 86 accommodations in high-standard rooms and apartments, as well as a restaurant, cafés, a gym, and a sauna. In winter, the area features two ski lifts. Kalatówki is also known for hosting the legendary Jazz Camping event, which took place here in 1959–1960 and has been held again since 1997.
In a tourist context, the hotel serves as a starting point for hiking trails, including the western branch of the blue trail leading to the shelter on Hala Kondratowa and the black Regle Path, both offering magnificent views of the Tatra landscapes. The walking time from Kuźnice to the hotel is approximately 35 minutes. The PTTK Kalatówki Hotel not only impresses with its architecture but also holds significant importance in the history of Polish skiing and serves as a cultural hub for jazz enthusiasts.
