PTTK Bacówka on Krawcowy Wierch is a mountain tourist shelter located in the Żywiec Beskids, on Hala Krawcula, at an altitude of 1038 meters above sea level within the Żywiec Landscape Park. The facility, opened on December 4, 1976, was designed and built between 1975 and 1976. The first manager of the shelter was Zbigniew Gowin, and between 2000 and 2005, it underwent a thorough renovation under the direction of Szymon Kreczmer. The shelter offers 35 overnight accommodations in rooms of various capacities, as well as spaces for sleeping on mats. On the premises, there is a buffet and a dining room that can accommodate up to 30 people. The architecture of the shelter is typical of mountain facilities, with large windows providing panoramic views of Malá Fatra and the Beskids, which is an additional attraction for tourists. It is worth noting that in the past, there was a border crossing to Slovakia in the area, which was eliminated after both countries joined the Schengen Agreement. Bacówka is a place for joint hikes and cultural events. For several years, the Noc Krawculi (Krawcula Night) – a night rally to the shelter – has been held here. Previously, the folk event "Wierchowe Granie i Górolskie Śpiewanie" was also organized and was very popular. PTTK Bacówka on Krawcowy Wierch belongs to the Bacówkarz Club and serves as an excellent starting point for numerous hiking trails in the area, which captivate not only with the beauty of the landscapes but also with the richness of local culture and traditions.
