wikipedia
Regimin is a rural commune in Poland, located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Ciechanów County. Its administrative seat is the village of the same name. The administrative history of the commune dates back to before the 1975 reform, when it belonged to the Ciechanów Voivodeship. According to data from 2004, the commune had 4,988 inhabitants, indicating a relatively small but stable community. In terms of land structure, Regimin covers an area of 111.29 km², with a predominance of agricultural land (69%) and significant forest areas (20%). The commune comprises 10.47% of the area of Ciechanów County. It consists of numerous village administrations (sołectwa), such as Grzybowo, Kalisz, Mościce, and Regimin, reflecting its diversity. It is also worth noting that the commune borders other local government units, such as Ciechanów and Opinogóra Górna, which contributes to its integration with the broader local area. Architecturally, the commune features typical rural Polish buildings, and its landscape is shaped not only by farms but also by picturesque forest areas. Although there is no information about specific cultural events, the inhabitants of the commune likely cultivate local traditions and customs, which is typical for rural communities. An interesting point is that a proper understanding of the region's demography is crucial for planning the development of local initiatives, and the fact that data from 2004 shows no significant changes in population suggests the commune's demographic stability. Thus, Regimin is an interesting example of a Polish rural area, combining cultural diversity with rich natural heritage.
