Rogowo is a rural commune in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, within Rypin County, with its seat located in the village of Rogowo. Established in 1867, its history includes numerous administrative changes, including affiliations with different voivodeships. From 1975 to 1998, the commune was part of the Włocławek Voivodeship, and in 1954 it ceased to exist, only to be reinstated in 1973. The commune covers an area of 139.8 km², of which 62% is agricultural land and 26% is forested. According to data from 2013, the population was 4,857. Architectural attractions in the commune include historic sites such as the Parish Church of St. Bartholomew from 1878 in Rogowo and the Dębiński Family Tomb Chapel from 1895 in Pręczki. Another point of interest is a 19th-century wooden post mill. Rogowo also boasts cultural and sociological elements, including rich folk traditions and local festivals that bring the community together. Due to its historical richness and diversity, the commune attracts tourists and history enthusiasts, making it an important landmark in the Kuyavia region. It is worth noting that Rogowo is not the only commune with this name in the voivodeship, as another is located in Żnin County.
