Rokiciny

Rokiciny, formerly known as the Łaznów Commune, is a rural municipality located in the Łódź Voivodeship, within Tomaszów County. Its administrative seat is the village of Rokiciny-Kolonia. The municipality boasts a rich historical heritage, and its borders have changed over time—between 1975 and 1998, it belonged to the Piotrków Voivodeship. According to demographic data, the population was 5,913 in 2004 and had increased to 6,173 by the end of 2017. The total area of the municipality is 90.51 km², of which 80% is agricultural land and 14% is forested. Rokiciny Commune also constitutes 8.82% of the total area of Tomaszów County. Additionally, the area includes the Łaznów Nature Reserve, which protects diverse forest communities dominated by fir trees, highlighting the region’s importance for nature conservation. The municipality consists of numerous village districts (sołectwa), such as Albertów, Cisów, Eminów, and Łaznowska Wola, as well as other localities like Janinów and Reginów.
