The Rudniański Landscape Park is a picturesque landscape park located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, encompassing the municipalities of Alwernia, Czernichów, and Krzeszowice. Established in 1981, it covers an area of 58.139 km², with a buffer zone of 67.13 km². The park is situated in the southern part of the Tenczynek Ridge and the eastern part of the Upper Vistula Valley, offering rich landscapes and diverse fauna and flora. It is home to two significant nature reserves – the Dolina Potoku Rudno (Rudno Stream Valley) and Kajasówka.
Dolina Potoku Rudno, established in 2001, protects fragments of preserved alder floodplain forests and geological sites of a former porphyry quarry, reflecting the region's rich geological history. Meanwhile, Kajasówka, established in 1962, is an inanimate nature reserve that safeguards a unique tectonic horst covered with xerothermic vegetation, highlighting the park's biodiversity.
The park is part of the Jurajskie Parki Krajobrazowe (Jurassic Landscape Parks Complex), further enhancing its ecological and landscape significance. Rudniański Landscape Park is not only an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts but also for those interested in exploring the history and culture of the region, serving as a testament to ecological preservation and unique geological formations.
