The municipality of Sławoborze, located in the northern part of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, within Świdwin County, is a place rich in nature and traditions. Its administrative seat is the village of Sławoborze, and until 1998, the municipality was part of the Koszalin Voivodeship. It is inhabited by approximately 4,090 people, living in an area with a population density of 21.9 people per km². The municipality ranks 58th in terms of area and 89th in terms of population in the voivodeship. Within its territory, there are two private helicopter landing sites, which is an interesting infrastructural feature. Sławoborze is surrounded by the Koszalin Forest and the rivers Mołstowa and Pokrzywnica, creating excellent conditions for tourism and recreation. Forests cover 47% of the municipality's area, and agricultural land 46%, indicating significant landscape diversity. The municipality also has historical significance, and its transport infrastructure once included narrow-gauge railway lines, which were crucial for local transportation. Although these lines were closed in 1991, their history continues to interest both residents and tourists. The municipality of Sławoborze serves administrative and local government functions, with a budget of PLN 16.8 million in 2016. Residents jointly elect councilors to the Świdwin County Council and the West Pomeranian Regional Assembly. The municipality includes numerous village districts, such as Biały Zdrój, Ciechnowo, and Rokosowo, as well as smaller settlements, reflecting a diverse settlement structure. The charm of Sławoborze lies not only in the beauty of its nature but also in its rich history and local traditions, which shape the identity of its inhabitants.
