Słupia Municipality, located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship within Jędrzejów County, covers an area of 108.42 km² and was inhabited by approximately 4,461 people at the end of 2010. The municipality consists of 43 localities grouped into 14 village councils (sołectwa), such as Dąbrowica, Jasieniec, and Słupia. Słupia, which serves as the municipal seat, offers picturesque landscapes dominated by agricultural land (81%) and forests (13%). Historically, Słupia Municipality was part of Kielce Voivodeship prior to the administrative reform of 1975–1998, reflecting its long history of local governance. Mayors who have served the municipality include Zbigniew Koper and Tomasz Koper, the latter holding the position since 2018. The municipality borders Moskorzew, Nagłowice, Sędziszów, Szczekociny, and Żarnowiec, contributing to the cultural and social diversity of the region. The architecture in the municipality is typical of Polish rural areas, with single-family homes and public utility buildings reflecting local construction styles. Although not widely known, the municipality boasts unique traditions and a rich history, making it an interesting place on the map of Poland.
