Sadkowice is a rural municipality located in the Łódź Voivodeship, within the Rawa County, and was formerly part of the Skierniewice Voivodeship. Covering an area of 12,108 hectares, the municipality has its administrative seat in Sadkowice and is home to 6,040 residents. It is administratively divided into 34 villages, which form 30 local administrative units (sołectwa). The municipality is well-connected, with developed telephone infrastructure and water supply systems in its eastern part. Sadkowice features one wastewater treatment plant, four primary schools, and two middle schools, reflecting a strong emphasis on education. The area also includes several kindergartens, as well as health and cultural institutions, such as the Municipal Public Library. Notable architectural heritage in the municipality includes 19th-century churches, such as the Parish Church of the Ten Thousand Martyred Knights in Sadkowice and the Church of the Transfiguration in Lubania, both admired for their Neo-Gothic design. The 17th-century church in Lewin stands out for its wooden structure and Baroque interior. Additionally, the municipality takes pride in the palace and park complex in Kaleń, featuring a Classicism-style palace surrounded by a beautiful park, as well as numerous manors in the area. The Trębaczew Nature Reserve, located within the municipality, protects unique pine and oak forests. With its rich cultural heritage, blending tradition and modern needs, Sadkowice forms a diverse and dynamic community.
