Sadki is a rural commune in Poland, located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, within Nakło County. Its administrative seat is the village of Sadki. Between 1975 and 1998, the commune belonged administratively to the Bydgoszcz Voivodeship. According to data from December 31, 2007, the commune had a population of 7,168. Covering an area of 153.69 km², the commune consists mainly of agricultural land (74%) and forests (15%). Geographically, it borders the Greater Poland Voivodeship, with the Noteć River marking its southern boundary. The region is dominated by flat moraine uplands and a glacial outwash valley with diverse terrace formations. The terrain's relief is a result of the last glaciation, with denivelations of 10-15 meters. The commune's climate is transitional, providing optimal conditions for agriculture, with annual precipitation of about 475 mm. The moraine upland is primarily covered with pseudopodzolic and brown soils, while depressions are occupied by peat soils. The commune boasts diverse flora and fauna, with forests playing a key environmental role, dominated by pine (48%) and oak (21%). Nature protection is ensured by the Borek Nature Reserve, which safeguards unique ecosystems. The commune is well-connected, traversed by National Road 10 and a railway line. The nearby Bydgoszcz International Airport provides additional accessibility. An interesting fact is the proximity of attractive water routes, thanks to the Noteć River and the Bydgoszcz Canal. Neighboring communes include Kcynia, Łobżenica, Mrocza, Nakło nad Notecią, and Wyrzysk, offering opportunities for local cooperation and tourism development.
