Secemin is a rural commune in Poland, located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, within Włoszczowa County. Its administrative seat is the village of Secemin. Historically, during the time of the Kingdom of Poland, the commune belonged to Włoszczowa County in the Kielce Governorate. On January 1, 1870, the town of Secemin was incorporated into the commune after losing its town rights. Between 1975 and 1998, the commune was part of the Częstochowa Voivodeship. According to data from December 2010, the commune had a population of 5,096 inhabitants and covered an area of 163 km², of which 50% was agricultural land and 40% was forested. The Secemin commune occupies 18.11% of the area of Włoszczowa County. In 2010, the commune's revenue amounted to approximately 21.5 million złoty, which translates to 4,222 zł per capita. The demographic structure of the commune shows age-related changes, as illustrated by the population age pyramid from 2014. The commune includes numerous sołectwas (village administrative divisions) such as Bichniów, Brzozowa, Celiny, and Krzepice, as well as settlements without sołectwo status, including Borowe and Ropocice. The commune borders Koniecpol, Radków, Szczekociny, and Włoszczowa, which may foster cultural and tourist exchange.
