Serock is an urban-rural municipality in Poland, located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Legionowo County, with its administrative seat in the town of Serock itself. The history of the municipality dates back to the pre-war period when, in 1954, the municipality of Zegrze was established. From 1975 to 1998, it was administratively part of the Warsaw Voivodeship. The municipality covers an area of 108.96 km², a significant portion of which is occupied by agricultural land (57%) and forests (20%). Serock has approximately 15,061 residents, with 4,521 people living in the town itself. The municipality includes numerous villages such as Borowa Góra, Jachranka, and Jadwisin, which are characterized by beautiful landscapes and local architecture typical of the Masovian region. Many of these villages have their own traditions and histories, making the area culturally fascinating. Serock is situated on the shores of the Zegrze Reservoir, which fosters the development of tourism and water recreation.
