The Sanctuary of the Mother of God, Queen of Families in Juchnowiec is a significant place of worship belonging to the Archdiocese of Białystok, with a history dating back to 1764, when Father Jozafat Wołłosowicz began the construction of a new brick church. It replaced an older, wooden church from 1547. The construction was completed by Father Jan Daniszewski in 1788, and in 1906, a tower was added to the church, giving it architectural features typical of the region. The church is distinguished by its simplicity and elegance, and its interior is adorned with an image of the Mother of God, originating from the first church, painted in oil on wood, which gained popularity due to the numerous graces recorded. The veneration of the Mother of God in Juchnowiec is part of a broader Marian tradition in the region, encompassing places such as Vilnius and Różanystok. In 1996, by the decision of Archbishop Stanisław Szymecki, the church was granted the title of "Mother of God, Queen of Families," and the feast day was set for July 2. In 1997, the sanctuary was officially incorporated into the structures of the Archdiocese of Białystok. Masses are regularly celebrated, including on Sundays and weekdays, and special ceremonies are organized in connection with feast days, including celebrations in honor of the Mother of God, Queen of Families, and other saints associated with local devotion. It is also interesting that the sanctuary plays a significant role in the spiritual life of the local community, serving as a place of pilgrimage and prayer that brings together residents and pilgrims from across the Archdiocese.
