Skalbmierz is an urban-rural municipality located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, within Kazimierza County, with the town of Skalbmierz serving as its administrative seat. As of the end of 2010, the municipality was inhabited by 6,772 people and is known for its rich demographic and administrative structure. Covering an area of 85.94 km², of which 7.13 km² is occupied by the town and the remainder by rural areas, the municipality is dominated by agricultural land, which accounted for as much as 92% of its total area in 2007. Skalbmierz combines traditional agriculture with modern spatial management practices. The municipality comprises 24 localities, reflecting its cultural and architectural diversity.
