wikipedia
Sobieska Wola Pierwsza is a village located in the Lublin Voivodeship, in the municipality of Krzczonów, with a rich history dating back to the 14th century. In the past, it was the ancestral seat of the Sobieski family, known for King John III Sobieski. The village was named Wola Sobieska between 1668 and 1673, and its main feature was the manor and park complex, which still impresses with its architecture today. The manor, built in the first half of the 19th century, was associated with the Stryjeński family, who introduced elements of culture and social life to the area. Initially, the complex consisted of a wooden manor surrounded by a landscape park, but after World War II, it fell into ruin. After many years of neglect, in 2003, the manor was purchased and thoroughly renovated, restoring it to its former glory. The current manor has an area of approximately 400 m², and the park, with its preserved old-growth trees, covers 2.4 hectares, although its condition requires further work. The manor and park complex in Sobieska Wola is located on a rectangular plot measuring 230 by 370 meters and retains many traces of its historical spatial layout, including old linden alleys. Despite numerous damages, the site remains a significant element of the region's cultural heritage and attracts tourists and history enthusiasts. An interesting fact is that Sobieska Wola was a resting place for King John III Sobieski and his wife Marysieńka, further highlighting the importance of this village in Polish history.
