Sochaczew

The Sochaczew Commune, formerly known as the Chodaków Commune, is located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Sochaczew County, with its administrative seat in the town of Sochaczew. The commune covers an area of 91.41 km², of which 81% is agricultural land and 3% is forested, highlighting the dominance of agriculture in this region. In 2022, the commune had a population of 11,838. Its historical significance is underscored by the fact that the renowned composer Frédéric Chopin was born in 1810 in Żelazowa Wola, a village within the commune, making it an attractive destination for music and culture enthusiasts.
