Sosnowek Lock

The Sosnówek Lock, located at the 71.2-kilometer mark of the Augustów Canal, is the twelfth lock on the canal when counted from the Biebrza River side. It was built in 1828 under the supervision of Lieutenant Engineer Konstanty Jodko, who led its construction. Architecturally, the lock is 44.40 meters long and 6.10 meters wide, with a water level difference of 2.98 meters.
