The Garrison Church of St. Stanislaus the Bishop in Radom, located at 3 May Constitution Square in the Śródmieście district, is a Roman Catholic church that forms part of the Radom Heritage tourist trail. Originally built in 1902 as an Orthodox church dedicated to St. Nicholas, the design by Viktor Syczugov was modified by architect M. Preobrazhensky. The consecration ceremony took place on February 9, 1902, performed by German (Germogen), the Orthodox Bishop of Lublin. After World War I, the building was handed over to the Polish Army, and following war damage, there were initial plans to convert it into the Museum of the Radom Region. Ultimately, the decision was made to transform the former Orthodox church into a garrison church, which may have reflected the need for spiritual support among soldiers. The reconstruction, carried out between 1925 and 1930, was overseen by Radom architect Kazimierz Prokulski. The solemn consecration took place on October 5, 1930, dedicating the church to St. Stanislaus of Szczepanów, Bishop and Martyr, the patron saint of Poland. Over the years, the church has had various parish priests, including Colonel Father Kryspin Rak and Major Father Łukasz Hubacz, who has held the position since April 2021. The Garrison Church not only plays an important role in the religious life of the Radom community but also holds a rich history and architecture, reflecting the transformations tied to Poland's past and the local garrison. Interestingly, despite these changes, the building retains elements related to its original purpose, adding to its unique character.
