The Stanisław and Władysław Grabski School of Economics and Administration in Koło is an educational institution with over 75 years of history, established in 1947 on the initiative of local government authorities and social organizations. Located in a picturesque area by the Warta River, the school initially operated as a Commercial Gymnasium and Lyceum, which over time transformed into a Commercial Technical School, a Veterinary Technical School, and eventually an Economic Technical School. In 1992, work was completed on a new building, which was put into use that same year. In 2002, the school was reorganized into the School of Economics and Administration, introducing various fields of study such as economics technician and hospitality technician. Along with the development of education, the number of students also increased, reaching a peak in the 1950s when the school had as many as 1,460 students. Architecturally, one of the school buildings has been entered into the municipal register of historical monuments, reflecting its historical significance. Culturally, the school actively participates in local life by organizing numerous events, such as festivals, and through collaborations with the Schuman Foundation. Since 1961, the school also operated a dormitory, which at one point could accommodate up to 60 residents. As an interesting fact, it is worth mentioning that the school has recently undergone renewal in terms of staff and curriculum, and in the 2023 school year, it reduced recruitment for high school classes. Over the years, the school has been led by notable figures as directors, and its alumni include well-known names, highlighting its important role in the region's education.
