wikipedia
Sulejówek, a town in the Masovian Voivodeship, established in 1957, is a place rich in history and architecture. The first mentions of the area date back to 1526, when the noble village of Sulewo existed. In the 19th century, Sulejówek began to develop intensively due to the launch of the railway line, which led to the creation of housing estates and brickyards. In 1919, Ignacy Paderewski purchased the villa "Białynia," where he established an Educational Institute, supported by Józef Piłsudski. The town became an independent municipality in 1939, and during World War II, its buildings housed a center of Nazi intelligence. Sulejówek was officially registered as a town in 1962. Architecturally, it stands out with many monuments listed in the register, such as the villa complex at Oleandrów 5, representing the manor style designed by Kazimierz Skórewicz, which includes the villa "Milusin," built for Józef Piłsudski in 1923. Sulejówek is also an active sports town, with clubs like the Municipal People's Sports Club Victoria and the UKS Herkules, offering various sports sections. The town also features cultural and educational institutions, including kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools. In terms of healthcare, Sulejówek has clinics and pharmacies, and the town's budget in 2022 amounted to 148.6 million złoty. The town has well-developed transportation, including railway lines and voivodeship and national roads, facilitating travel to Warsaw and neighboring municipalities.
