Szczurowa

Szczurowa Commune, located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Brzesko County, is a rural commune covering an area of 134.64 km². According to 2002 data, 78% of its area is agricultural land, while 10% is forested. The commune serves as an important administrative center, with its seat in Szczurowa, and was home to 9,594 residents in 2017. It is worth noting that the commune comprises numerous villages, including Barczków, Dąbrówka Morska, Dołęga, and Uście Solne, which form an integral part of the local community. Szczurowa also has a partner town – Bohorodchany in Ukraine. Historically, the commune belonged to the Tarnów Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998, which contributes to its local identity.
