The Didactic and Museum Center of the Polesie National Park in Stare Załucze

The Education and Museum Center of the Polesie National Park, also known as the Museum of the Polesie National Park, is an important educational and natural site located in Stare Załucze. Since its opening in 1993, the center has been collecting exhibits related to the rich nature and culture of Western Polesie, with particular emphasis on local flora and fauna. The museum exhibition is divided into five sections: geographical, aquarium, historical, ethnographic, and natural, allowing for a comprehensive presentation of topics related to the region. In the main building, visitors can explore diverse collections ranging from geological to ethnographic, including reconstructions of a residential room and exhibits such as a grain container in the exhibition shed. An important feature of the center is also the "Żółwik" nature trail, which educates about the European pond turtle and the forest ecosystems of the area. Thus, the center combines both natural and cultural elements that highlight the uniqueness of Polesie. Admission to the exhibition does not require a guide, which encourages individual exploration of the displays.
