Teresin is a rural commune in Poland, located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Sochaczew County. Its administrative seat is the village of Teresin. The commune, which was part of the Skierniewice Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998, covers an area of 87.98 km², of which 86% is agricultural land and 6% is forested. In 2011, the commune had a population of 11,356, and by 2014, the demographic structure revealed a diverse age pyramid. The commune comprises several village administrative districts (sołectwa), such as Budki Piaseckie, Dębówka, Elżbietów, and Szymanów, as well as other localities like Kawęczyn and Strugi. It borders other communes, including Baranów, Błonie, and Kampinos. It is worth noting that the region features sites of architectural and cultural value, along with a rich history related to the development of agriculture and forestry in the area. Interestingly, the Teresin commune constitutes 12.04% of the area of Sochaczew County, highlighting its significance in the region.
