Toruńskie Wodociągi is a limited liability company established on May 22, 2000, and owned by the City of Toruń Municipality. Its headquarters are located at ul. Rybaki 31-35. In 2003, the company merged with Miejska Oczyszczalnia Ścieków Sp. z o.o., which contributed to the development of water and sewage infrastructure in the region. As part of its activities, Toruńskie Wodociągi operates the Museum of Technology and Municipal Engineering, opened on March 28, 2023, which is an important point on the city's cultural map, offering visitors the opportunity to learn about the history of municipal engineering and the latest technological advancements in this field. Toruńskie Wodociągi manages four water sources: a surface water intake on the Drwęca River, an infiltration intake in Jedwabno, and two groundwater intakes in Czerniewice and Mała Nieszawka. In 2022, the length of the water supply network was 721.975 km, including 156.782 km of main lines, 450.013 km of distribution networks, and 115.18 km of water service connections. In total, the city has 9,852 connections, reflecting an extensive infrastructure. Meanwhile, the length of the sewage network reached 773.625 km. This network includes 117.667 km of combined sewers, 530.747 km of sanitary sewers, and 60.721 km of storm sewers, as well as 64.49 km of sewage service connections and 10,167 connections. Toruńskie Wodociągi not only provides residents with access to drinking water but also plays a key role in wastewater management, contributing to environmental protection and improving the quality of life for the inhabitants. An interesting fact is the unique Museum of Technology and Municipal Engineering, which showcases the development of the city's infrastructure over the years, combining historical and cultural elements with modern engineering solutions.
