The Municipality of Toszek is an urban-rural municipality located in the Silesian Voivodeship, within the Gliwice County, with its capital in the town of Toszek. Historically, the municipality was established after World War II, in December 1945, and has undergone numerous administrative changes, including reforms that have affected its borders and status. Currently, the municipality covers the areas of fifteen village councils (sołectwa) and several localities, including Boguszyce, Kotulin, and Pawłowice. Its total area is 98.53 km², of which 74% is agricultural land and 18% is forested, making it a region of significant importance for both agriculture and nature.
The Municipality of Toszek offers tourists attractive walking trails, including the Trail of the Silesian Uprisings (Szlak Powstańców Śląskich), the Circular Trail Around Gliwice (Szlak Okrężny Wokół Gliwic), and the Century of Tourism Trail (Szlak Stulecia Turystyki).
