The Tuczna Commune, located in the Lublin Voivodeship within Biała Podlaska County, was known until 1927 as the Międzyleś Commune. Its administrative seat is the village of Tuczna. The commune covers an area of 170.37 km², and as of June 30, 2004, it had a population of 3,584. The land use structure is diverse, with 65% allocated to agricultural land and 28% to forested areas, making Tuczna a commune of significant agricultural and forestry importance. It also forms part of a broader regional market, accounting for 6.19% of the total area of Biała Podlaska County.
