Tyszowce is an urban-rural commune in the Lublin Voivodeship, within Tomaszów County, with its administrative seat located in Tyszowce. The commune boasts a rich history dating back to the times of the Kingdom of Poland, when it belonged to the Lublin Governorate. In 1870, Tyszowce, which had lost its town rights, was incorporated into the commune. Between 1975 and 1998, the commune was part of the Zamość Voivodeship. According to data from December 31, 2009, the commune had a population of 5,921. Geographically, the commune covers an area of 129.48 km², of which 81% is agricultural land and 11% is forested. Tyszowce Commune constitutes 8.71% of the area of Tomaszów County. Within the commune lies the valuable Skarpa Dobużańska Nature Reserve, which protects rare species of steppe plants and xerothermic communities. An interesting feature is the numerous village administrations, such as Czartowiec, Dębina, and Wakijów, which contribute to the cultural diversity of the commune. In 2014, the population age pyramid was available, providing insights into the demographics and social structure.
