Warsaw Urban Transport Enthusiasts Club

The Warsaw Urban Transport Enthusiasts Club (KMKM Warszawa) is an association that has been operating since 1980, bringing together enthusiasts of urban transport. The club's headquarters is located on Grochowska Street in Warsaw, and it possesses an extensive collection of historic communication vehicles and transport-related memorabilia. The club collaborates with the Municipal Bus Companies and Warsaw Trams in the renovation of historic rolling stock. The beginnings of its activities are associated with the initiative of Leszek Pohoryles, and the club gained prominence through its association with the Museum of Technology, organizing meetings and expanding its operations. In 2002, KMKM was formally registered, which enabled further development and the collection of urban transport relics, including restored tram cars and buses. In 2013, the inaugural run of the restored 1950 Chausson AH48 bus became a permanent part of the club's history. KMKM promotes public urban transport by organizing tourist lines and special events such as the Night of Museums and the International Historic Bus Rally, which attract many enthusiasts and tourists. Interestingly, the club's buses have appeared in numerous music videos, films, and social campaigns, highlighting their significance not only for transport history but also for popular culture. KMKM plans further development, including the establishment of a Museum of Urban Transport.
