Wilczyn is a rural commune in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, with its seat located in a town of the same name. Until 1954, the commune was known as Wilczogóra. The commune covers an area of 83.12 km², of which 77% is agricultural land and 10% is covered by forests. It constitutes 5.27% of the Konin County area. At the end of 2020, the commune had a population of 6,182. Wilczyn and Kaliskie are home to primary schools, reflecting the local commitment to education. An important part of community life are the Volunteer Fire Department units, including OSP Wilczyn and several others, highlighting residents' involvement in local safety. The social culture of the commune is also evident in the activities of Rural Housewives' Circles, which are active in various localities, organizing events and supporting local traditions. The commune consists of over a dozen village administrative units (sołectwa), including Biela, Dębówiec, Kopydłowo, and Wilczogóra. It also encompasses many smaller settlements such as Cegielnia and Ostrówek.
