Wojciechów is a rural municipality located in the Lublin Voivodeship, within the Lublin County, with its administrative seat in the locality of the same name. Formerly known as the Palikije municipality, Wojciechów is part of the Lublin agglomeration. Since the 1970s, the municipality has experienced stable demographic growth, with a population of 5,978 residents in 2017. The municipality covers an area of 80.92 km², predominantly occupied by agricultural land (88%), with a small percentage covered by forests (6%). The infrastructure of the municipality consists of several integral villages and administrative units, such as Czajki, Kopanina, Nowy Gaj, and Ignaców. Wojciechów is a region rich in architectural heritage, with monuments registered in the national heritage list that reflect its historical value. Thanks to its proximity to Lublin, the municipality benefits from urban infrastructure while retaining its rural character. Neighboring municipalities, such as Bełżyce and Nałęczów, add to the diversity of the regional culture, and the municipality itself, with its rich structure of local administrative units, fosters local traditions and customs.
