The Złotów Municipality is a local government unit located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within the Złotów County, with its seat in the town of Złotów. The municipality covers an area of 292.5 km², of which 68% is agricultural land and 23% is forest land, highlighting its rural and natural character. From a demographic perspective, according to data from December 2019, the municipality was inhabited by 9,942 people, indicating stable population growth compared to 9,006 residents in 2004. The Złotów Municipality has a rich structure of villages, including notable ones such as Bielawa, Górzna, and Stawnica, as well as numerous smaller settlements like Blękwit and Nowa Święta, showcasing the diversity of local communities. The municipality is also home to the private helicopter landing site PRH Stawnica, which was put into operation in 2013, reflecting the growing importance of local investments and infrastructure. Historically, the municipality was part of the Piła Voivodeship between 1975 and 1998, which may have influenced its administrative development.
