Zdziechów is a village in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Szydłowiec County, covering an area of 415.7690 hectares. The provincial road DW735 runs through the village, connecting Jedlanka with Szydłowiec. The village has a rich history dating back to the 16th century when it was a noble estate, and its name derives from the Zdziechowski family, who inhabited these lands. The first mentions of Zdziechów date back to 1508, when Mikołaj Zdziechowski was the owner of the settlement. As a result of the consolidation of the village and manorial fields in the 17th century, Zdziechów was relocated to a new site, forming three colonies: Lesica, Działy, and Metków. In the 18th century, the village had 25 households, and in 1787, 81 people lived here. In the 19th century, after passing through various partition administrations, the village came under the management of the State Treasury, which led to its division into separate leaseholds. Zdziechów was one of the 24 serf villages of the Szydłowiec county, and its inhabitants were known for each possessing exactly 3 morgens of meadow. In Zdziechów, there is the Marianka chapel, located at the village border, and a public primary school, established in 1934, where religious education was provided by local clergy. An interesting fact is the discovery in Zdziechów of iron doors to a dungeon connecting Szydłowiec Castle with underground passages, which testifies to the rich history and legends associated with the locality. The village and its surroundings are linked to agricultural traditions, and between 1959 and 1974, an agricultural circle existed in Zdziechów Lesica. The village's infrastructure includes, among other things, water supply systems managed by the Water and Sewage Company in Szydłowiec. Roman Catholic faithful belong to the Parish of St. Nicholas in Wysoka, and masses are held in the local chapel once a week.
