Czosnów is a rural municipality with its administrative seat in Czosnów, located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Nowy Dwór County. From 1975 to 1998, the municipality was part of the Warsaw Voivodeship. The municipality covers an area of 128.34 km², of which 58% is agricultural land and 28% is forested. Czosnów features a diverse demographic structure; in 2008, it was home to 8,959 people, and according to 2019 data, this number increased to 9,991. The municipality includes several village districts (sołectwa), such as nearby localities like Adamówek, Aleksandrów, and Cząstków Mazowiecki. It borders other municipalities like Izabelin, Jabłonna, and Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, which fosters the development of cultural and social regional ties.
