wikipedia
Drawski Landscape Park, established in 1979, is located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship and covers an area of nearly 39,000 hectares. The park encompasses key areas of the Drawskie Lakeland, including territories of six municipalities. In addition to its rich biodiversity, the park features valuable landscape elements such as lakes (the largest being Lake Drawsko), moraine hills, and glacial erratics, making it attractive to both nature enthusiasts and landscape tourists. The park is home to over 40 species of protected plants and 148 species of breeding birds, including eagles, herons, cranes, and black storks, highlighting its ecological significance. Various fish species also inhabit the park’s waters, such as pike-perch, perch, eel, and vendace. Drawski Landscape Park includes seven nature reserves, with an additional two in its buffer zone, underscoring the commitment to preserving unique ecosystems. The area is managed by the West Pomeranian Landscape Parks Unit, based in Szczecin, which began work on a park protection plan in 2020. Interestingly, Drawski Landscape Park is part of a larger nature conservation system in West Pomerania, enhancing its regional and national importance. Beyond its natural values, the park also attracts tourists with its stunning landscapes, opportunities for water sports on the lakes, and numerous hiking and cycling trails.
