Golub-Dobrzyń is a rural municipality located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, administratively part of the Golub-Dobrzyń County. Its administrative seat is the town of Golub-Dobrzyń. The municipality covers an area of 197.45 km², of which 61% is agricultural land and 32% is forested. In 2004, the population of the municipality was 8,062 people. It is worth noting the richness of immovable monuments in the municipality, which bear witness to its historical and architectural heritage. Among them are manor parks, such as those in Gajewo, Gałczewek, and Pusta Dąbrówka, dating from the 18th to the 19th century. In Ostrowite, there is the Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene from the late 16th century, as well as a unique church complex from the early 20th century. An interesting fact is the half-timbered house from 1902, which was moved from Toruń to Podzamcze Golubskie in 2007. The municipality consists of numerous village districts (sołectwa), such as Białkowo, Cieszyny, and Węgiersk, as well as settlements without village district status. Golub-Dobrzyń borders the municipalities of Bobrowo, Ciechocin, and Kowalewo Pomorskie, which expands the cultural and tourist opportunities for residents and visitors. The municipality combines elements of culture, history, and nature, making it an interesting place to explore the richness of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region.
