The "Pod Jedlami" Villa, located in Zakopane at 1 Koziniec Street, is an example of Zakopane-style architecture, built in 1897 according to the design of Stanisław Witkiewicz. Commissioned by Jan Gwalbert Pawlikowski, the building is considered Witkiewicz's most complete work, distinguished by its solid stone foundation, carved structural elements, and a decorative veranda. The villa's interiors have preserved original furniture and highlander paintings, reflecting its rich cultural heritage. The building holds historical significance as it was once home to the poet Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska and her sister, Magdalena Samozwaniec. The villa is surrounded by ancient trees, and the garden features a historic well designed by Witkiewicz, as well as a former outbuilding, the "Domkiem pod Jasieniami," where Tatras experts Zofia and Witold Paryscy lived. The villa remains in the hands of the Pawlikowski family, and visits are only possible from the outside. An interesting fact is the villa's original name, which refers to the fir trees that once grew in the garden.
