Łobżenica is an urban-rural municipality located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within Piła County, with its administrative seat in Łobżenica. For many years, from 1975 to 1998, the municipality was part of the former Piła Voivodeship. As of June 30, 2004, it was inhabited by 9,927 people, which indicates a relatively large population for local markets. The total area of the municipality is 190.68 km², of which 70% is agricultural land and 19% is forested. Łobżenica Municipality is an important part of Piła County, covering 15.05% of its total area. Within the municipality, there are 15 lakes, making it an attractive destination for relaxation and recreation.
The municipality consists of numerous village districts (sołectwa), including Chlebno, Dębno, Dziegciarnia, Dźwierszno Małe and Wielkie, Izdebki, Kościerzyn Mały, and Trzeboń.
