The Ślesin Municipality, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship within the Konin County, is a unit with a rich spatial structure that includes the town of Ślesin and 67 rural localities, divided into 26 village councils (sołectwa). The municipality covers an area of 145.69 km², dominated by agricultural land (59%) and forests (21%), highlighting its agrarian character. The history of the municipality dates back to the pre-war years, and in 1954, it was established through the merger of the Sławoszewek and Piotrkowice municipalities. From 1975 to 1998, it was administratively part of the Konin Voivodeship. Ślesin is also a well-known tourist center, situated by a lake, which favors recreation.
