The Śniadowo Commune, located in the Podlaskie Voivodeship in the Łomża County, is a rural commune with its seat in Śniadowo. From 1975 to 1998, it belonged to the Łomża Voivodeship. According to data from December 31, 2011, the commune had 5,734 inhabitants. The history of the commune dates back to the times of the Kingdom of Poland, when Śniadowo was part of the Łomża County in the Łomża Governorate. In 1870, Śniadowo was incorporated into the commune after losing its town rights. The commune covers an area of 162.59 km², of which 77% is agricultural land and 17% is forest land, indicating strong ties to agriculture and the region's natural environment. The commune accounts for 12.01% of the total area of Łomża County. Demographically, according to the 1921 census, the commune had 4,408 inhabitants, with a dominant Roman Catholic faith and a significant Jewish community, reflecting the multicultural character of the region.
